As someone who is terrified of the dentist, I searched for a long time for a dentist who I thought would work with me. Everyone in this office is lovely, accommodating, and supportive. Dr Chung was patient, understanding, and very willing to talk through absolutely everything with me before he did it and it made a huge difference for me. I’ve never had a better experience at a dentist, and knowing that people like that exist in this field makes me feel better about going to the dentist. (No but really, I’m and adult and I cried the whole time and they were all so nice and patient, and spoke very calmly and reassured me constantly, I truly cannot express my gratitude enough). ~ Alyssa K

JP Dental is located in a private, quaint area close to St. Francis Hospital near the west end of Hartford not far from where I live. Upon visiting their office, I viewed their picture gallery on their website and discovered they took personal pride in cosmetic dentistry as well as routine services rendered. In addition, I learnt Dr. Chung, his wife Jill Parks, and staff were nurturing and trustworthy professionals. They knew I was afraid of them and had not visited a dentist in years. Now that I go to them regularly, I want everyone to know, they've transformed my teeth and the way I care for them. JP Dental is the best dentist I've been to in my life. I recently had to get an implant done and from the beginning to date, Dr. Chung and Dr. Jill Park has been the most informative, patient, and smart doctors I've ever met. The amount of high-tech equipments and techniques they practice is unbelievable and most dentist in the east coast will not be able to even come close to what they do. My implant was "guided" and their x-rays are stat-of-the-art. Most importantly, the two doctors are just so courteous and knowledgeable. It's really the mindset of these two doctors that wants the best high tech equipment for their patients. They strive to implement and pursue new technology and techniques. As a new patient, these are the qualities that I look for and I highly recommend JP Dental to anyone that's looking for the best dentist in east coast! ~ Jae H

Absolutely amazing. I wish more people had the compassion, understanding, and humanity of these people. I had a badly fractured tooth and all other dental facilities either charged me an absurd price, had me waitlisted for weeks, or were unable to extract my tooth. So when I walked in to my appointment I excepted to be disappointed based on my previous experiences with dentists. I was wrong. Even though I came in 30 minutes before closing, after they saw the severity of my situation they extracted my tooth quickly and painlessly. Above all, as a struggling college student, the pricing was unbelievably low compared to the other facilities, I truly feel blessed. I am happy to report than I am no longer in pain thanks to these wonderful people. Most definitely recommend to anyone and will be sending people your way when it comes to dental issues. Staff in this facility is very friendly & attentive. The Doctors are also very welcoming. Place is clean and kept up to date but most importantly homey. (which is something I look for). In the waiting room there is a nice selection of books to choose from. While you get your dental work done you get to listen to a music which is definitely a bonus. The hygienist Samantha was very patient & so was Dr. Chung. Never felt rushed and did not feel like I was another number. But instead felt like they cared & stand behind their work. This place is EXCELLENT overall. Great bedside manner & very professional. Would highly recommend. ~ Leroy T

I've been coming here for a few years now and couldn't be happier with my experiences and care. After some negative dental experiences elsewhere as a teenager I had severe anxiety about going to the dentist, and so I avoided going for several years (which made me more anxious of course). Once it got to a point that I HAD to go, I found JP dental through my insurance and then chose them based on other reviews. Everyone in the office was so understanding and patient about how anxious I was and did everything they could to make me more comfortable. Justyna has been my hygienist, and I've seen both Dr. Chung and Dr. Park, they are all wonderful! ~ Kristen C

I was worried as any parent would have been, understanding the high level of difficulty in treating my 2 year old son who has never been to the dentist office. But the moment we entered the office, my worries were forgotten as my son received a balloon made out of Latex glove and toys. Dr. Chung allowed him to play with the dental equipments as if they were water guns. I really appreciate the fun and the positive dental experience provided by Dr. Chung, and the staff members. Saying that this experience will last a lifetime for my son, is an understatement. ~ David C

I myself found this clinic. Dr. Chung and Dr.Jill Park, they are great professional dentists. Dr. Chung is from Notte Dame and Tufts graduates, smart and excellent academic experienced. I had chanced to chat with Dr. Chung, he is a sweet and smart man, I like him!! What a gentle, and warm mind person he is. He has been treating me with attention, and with very kind and dedicated manner. We like this Clinic so much!! Kind, professional and friendly staffs!!! Good evening this is the first time ever that I visit this dental office and I have been living in Hartford CT for 13 years and a half now and let me tell ya the staff that works at the front desk was excellent in the service that they provided me while she was making a call to my insurance company I was in the waiting room filling out some questions on a tablet than couples of minutes after that my payment was processed and next thing you knew the dentist was taking x rays of my teeths I truly recommend this dental office to those that want a good costumer service but most important make ya feel welcome with respect and courtesy cuase that' how they made me feel today and from now on I will make this dental office my primary dental care oh and the best part about it is Wich I wasnt expecting it the gave me a bag with the name of this dental office that right day made my day so if ya haven't been here ya are missing alot Thanks sincerely Camille ~ Camille A

Great Place with a very friendly and accommodating staff. I needed to get a crown after a root canal and they were able to see me that week and get me all set up. They worked with my insurance to get it paid for and then waived the remaining balance for me! They also gave me a big discount for a few fillings because i had maxed my insurance out. I cant say enough good things about this place and the staff and am so grateful that I found a good dentist, I mean my teeth and mouth never felt better!! ~ A L

I'm deathly afraid of dentists due to past awful experiences. Staff did not make me feel as if my fears were silly and did their best to keep me calm and to reassure me. Dr. Park is AMAZING. She is the most gentle and patient dentist I have ever been to. I have never in my life have said, "Oh my gosh, that's it? That wasn't even bad at all!" after any dental procedure, and yet that's exactly what I say every time I go. Plus, the practice works with you if your insurance doesn't cover a procedure. This is the BEST DENTIST in Connecticut. I had the best experience. From my very first phone call to Stacy the receptionist, to the assistant who held my hand for every anesthesia dose, (forgot her name but I owe her lol) to Dr Park and down to my last visit. I felt so welcome. Dr Park is so gentle - I've never had such experience. Normally I'm afraid of the dentist. But I felt comfortable driving there and finding myself in the chair. I LOVE JP Dental! Dr. Chung and Dr. Park are AMAZING! They are Dentists who really care, take their time with you and make you feel like you’re the only patient they have (even when they’re busy). They try to accommodate to your needs to make you feel comfortable because, let’s face it, the dentist is the last place majority of us ever want to go see! They care about the little things that make you nervous and they take their time to make sure your experiences are a good ones each time you go see them! They are knowledgeable, masters at their skills, and to top all that off, they’re down to earth and friendly! If that wasn’t enough to convince you, let me tell you, they have the BEST STAFF EVER!!! Vanessa, Anna, and Marlene are just great! Always so cheerful, friendly, and make you feel like you’re visiting with old friends! Marlene is a wonderful Hygienist. She’s knowledgeable and gives you great advice for better mouth care with practical applications. You won’t go wrong if you choose JP Dental as your Dental providers. Dr. Paul Chung Is the absolute best! I had a pair of impacted wisdom teeth on the bottom set. I put it off for quite some time until I was running into severe waves of pain and discomfort. I stopped by JP Dental for a consultation. Less than a few days later I was booked an appointment! Dr. Chung took them out with ease and I experienced little to no discomfort. The front desk staff greeted me warmly and refilled my prescription promptly. Audrey met me a few mins prior to my scheduled time and we exchanged pleasantries. She was caring and as gentle as possible with my plaque filled mouth. Dr Park assessed my mouth and concerns regarding 2 needed implants with skill and the highest level of professionalism. I have been a regular patient at JP Dental since they opened at this location. As someone who does NOT enjoy visiting the dentist, I only have good to say about my experience with Dr. Chung and Dr. Park as well as the hygienists. Earlier this week, I met with Erika for the first time. She is an excellent hygienist who helped relieve my anxiety. I thought she was exceptional. I always highly disliked visiting the dentist until finding JP dental. Their team is amazing. They are on time for appointments, incredibly accommodating and they pay attention to all the small details. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Love the staff. Everyone is very warm and inviting. Dr. Jill is a super hero and her Dental Assistant, Jocelyn, is very patient and kind. They work very well together. Not only does Dr. Jill provide distinguished service, she educates you throughout your services and procedures. She is extremely thorough with work and attentive to her patient's needs. I always have a great experience at JP Dental. Staff, are frienday and they make you feel welcomed. Does not feel you are going to dentist. They are knowledgeable, show concern with your health and they give you great advice. They have lots of patience, I work night shift so it makes it hard to get my appointments in, or I have to reschedule all the time. They do not judge me and they are always accomodating.
